Rest in Peace

WARNING: This post may not be quite what you think it is from the title!

I hope this short video helps you to begin to deal with any negative aspects of your life right now and find more peace of mind everyday. In this video I refer to the book ‘The Space Within: Finding Your Way Back Home‘ by Michael Neill, which I’ve only recently come across, but it has had a huge impact on my understanding and deepened my wellbeing.

Please share this post with anyone you think might benefit from it and as always, love and gratitude,

3 Steps to Setting Goals That Make Your Heart Sing

3 Steps To Setting Goals That Make Your Sing (1)

It’s amazing how things come together sometimes, don’t you think?  Towards the beginning of 2015 I read a book called The Desire Map by Danielle La Porte.  The book is about how and why the conventional way of setting goals may not work for you and provides a compelling alternative.

Results from recent Feel Good Mail survey (November 2015)

I recently decided to change things up a bit with my monthly Feel Good Mail.  I wanted to offer the most value possible by emailing a bit more frequently and making sure I’m sending out content that you want to see.

I sent out a survey to find out just that and here are the results (click on the images and they should open in a new page for easier viewing)

Huge thanks to everyone that took part.  If you’re not currently receiving the Feel Good Mail, you can sign up here and as a bonus, you’ll get a free copy of my e-book ‘5 Steps To Meditation For People Who Can’t Meditate!

How to develop an attitude of gratitude (and why you should)

How lucky are you- Developing an attitude of gratitude

Today I had the privilege to be taken on a tour of The National Star College at Ullenwood near Cheltenham.  In case you don’t know it, the college is for students with disabilities and aims to provide them with opportunities to realise their full potential in life, in whatever way suits them.

Here’s a quote from their website:

“At National Star, we’re driven by our vision for a world in which people with disabilities are able to realise their potential as equal and active citizens in control of their lives. This sits at the heart of everything we do, from the personalised and world-class learning we provide via National Star College to training, specialist services and our work in the wider community.”

Click here to read more about the great work the college is doing on their website.

What struck me most on the tour was the overwhelming emphasis on giving the students more choice.  Often we take for granted just how much choice we have in our lives, when some of these students are working towards being able to communicate what they want and deciding on their own care plans.  Imagine not being able to tell anyone how you’re feeling or what you want for breakfast! This visit has made me realise just how grateful I am for all the choices I get to make in and about my life.

Time to Lighten Up!

It's time to lighten up!

I  made a video for you a couple of weeks ago, about the messages I’d been getting through various means – all of them saying ‘lighten up’ ‘have more fun’ ‘stop taking it all so seriously’.  It was a lovely video, with sunshine breaking through the rain clouds, birds singing and the sound of running water nearby.  Absolutely splendid!  Until I got back home and watched it through…

Inner Wisdom Project – Ambition

Inner Wisdom Project Part 1 - Ambition

During a meditation the other day I had the idea to record myself talking about different topics, with no plan, just seeing what comes up as I talked.  Straight away I put a message out on my Facebook page asking for topics to explore, and I had a great response.  Read on to find out what the topics were and what I’ve learned so far from this experiment.

Sunshine on a rainy day! How to be happy even on a gloomy day.

I made this video this morning, because it was so dark and dingy and I knew I wouldn’t have been the only one struggling to get out of bed.  I hope that sharing my morning Feel Good Routine will show you that it doesn’t matter what the weather’s doing, you can still have a fab start to the day!

Want to feel loved?

Today is a very special day – I’m celebrating our Silver Wedding Anniversary with my gorgeous hubby Mike.  I’m feeling so loved up that I recorded a video for you, all about love.  If you want to feel more loved, give it a watch!

Hello lovely! If you’ve watched the video you’ll have seen my little dog Herbie getting in on the action behind me!

If you’ve watched or read any of my stuff before, you’ll have noticed that I go on about self-love a lot – that’s because it’s the Number One Most Important Thing for you to do if you want to be happy and to have lots of love to give to others.

Some people don’t have a clue how to get started, because self-love is such an alien concept after years of self-abuse.  If that’s you, drop me a line and we can arrange a Skype or phone call and have a good chat about it.  I’d love to hear from you, so either comment below or drop me a line on cindy@thefgcoach.com 🙂

Enjoy life again, you deserve it!

Newsflash: It’s Hard Work Sometimes!

I talk a lot about my journey through depression and out the other side, in the hope that it will help someone else going through a similar experience. I’m now in my 16th month free from depression without the aid of medication and I’m extremely grateful to everyone that’s been part of my recovery.

There’s something I need to tell you though – the fact that I’m free of depression doesn’t mean I don’t have to work at it, because I do. I work at it every single day. Some people think that people like me who teach self-love and positive thinking are always happy and balanced, but the truth is we’re still human.
